Are you a purger with only new items in your personal inventory? Or are you a bit of a hoarder? I'm definitely a hoarder. I do have a section that is just my new papers and I do buy a bit of new stuff each month (budgeted). But I also have far too much older stuff as well. And while I try to purge occasionally it's hard...not because I really want to keep the stuff, it's just that I want someone to scrapbook with it not just recycle it or cut it up or whatever. I know it's ridiculous, but all that lovely paper that I bought for scrappiness going to waste when construction paper would work just fine feels wrong. Anyway, I'm rather rethinking the bright side of my hoarder today. With the news of 2Ps joining ranks with Archivers and Creative Memories, etc., I'm rather afraid there may come a day when I will be sitting here with a serious need to scrapbook and no place to buy anything to work with. I love those pretty papers, cheery chipboards and dynamic diecuts!! And I cannot live without them!

I am with you!!! I have a large stash and I am not purging it. I paid good money for it and I will someday use it. I have just this past week used several packs of older LYB products. They are no longer in business so I was glad to have some in my stash to play with.

I only purge items I don't like at all, which usually is only things given to me.
So, I guess I'm a hoarder, but not on purpose. I just have a lot of stuff to use up, and not enough time to use it all. I am constantly using older product on my layouts,

I save my old stuff for cards or school projects for my kids. I also like using old papers for decorations for birthday parties. Then I don't feel bad that I spent money on new stuff and didn't use it for layouts. My older kids like to create and when they want to make something I bring out my old stuff.

I used to hoard but not any longer. The only thing I have way too much of is colored cardstock which I find I am starting to use again. But over the past couple of years, I've done so much purging. If I think about how much I spent on the things I gave away/sold/tossed, I get sick to my stomach but I learned to be much more selective about what I buy because I am very much aware of the types of things I don't/won't use now. But my stash is made up of old and new stuff. Just last night, I pulled out doodlebug chipboard letters from 2007. ha!
It's sad to see 2ps close in terms of being an industry powerhouse and a cornerstone to the online scrapbooking community, but I don' t think scrapbooking is going away any time soon.

Oh my.....I could never purge my wonderful supplies. I love them all way to much to send them away. I have to admit I have been given some things that I didn't care for, so yes I sent those things packing, but never never never anything I have purchased for me to use "some day". I love it when someone for the first time steps foot into my scrappy room. They oooo and awwww and then tell me it looks like a store Nope I never purge

I have way too much stash! I use a lot of it and I go through it all for ideas on layouts. I do need to purge some older pp from paper stacks - I purged a lot when we moved but still some that can be purged. I love some of the new lines so I have been buying them - which means I need to use up or purge some of my much older stash!

Hoarder here, too! lol I don't purge my stash, I keep trying to find a better way to organize it! I use old things as much as I do new, but it gets hard to find what I want. I have so much paper that dh says I have to scrapbook until I'm 90 (and then I will still have a ton to give to my goddaughter.) But, your guessed it...I keep buying more. Can't resist a sale and rarely ever pay full price for it, but still. I just pray my studio never catches fire!

A few years ago I read an article that estimated how many projects someone can expect to get from each package of supplies or from a measured stack of paper. I don't remember the details but at that time, I had enough paper to make 1500 layouts! I had been scrapping about 9 years and had about 300 finished layouts. Doing the math....I had enough paper to last 45 years!! 45!! How crazy is that?? That's when I went crazy with purging and streamlining my stash because my supplies became a burden at that moment.

I am a hoarder of all thing Doggie! And the older BG. I don't scrap holidays very often, so when I do, I'll use new stuff as that is what I'll buy from ACOT.

My friends tell me I could have my own sgtore. Feeling for you... I went a couple of years ('the dark days') without being able to buy anything so I would go to 2Ps (didn't know about ACOT at that time) and fantasy shop. I became obsessed with Echo Park so the absolute first thing I bought was their This & That and Record It lines. Was certainly happy to be a hoarder then and maybe that's why I still have such a hard time getting rid of stuff.

Nah I use whatever suits the page or card. And rather than a purger, I am a hoarder type. I have stuff in my stash (hoard) maybe 10 years old. lol

I definitely keep my new stuff separate and tend to use it first rather than go back and dig through my stash... therefore that makes me a bit of a hoarder because I am not purging anything. I really need to go through and just get rid of things I know I won't use! Its been about two years since I have done that and its long overdue!
