I'm so sorry I've not posted lately. I tried to start this thread this morning but realized I was not logged in and dang it all, I had forgotten my password! Of course, I was supposed to be out the door to work too so here I am tonight, the night before my very best friend's surgery to remind anyone who will to say prayers for her during this time. If you've read the other thread, she told you all about the tumor that was discovered recently and the high possibility it is a primary brain tumor, a glioma and yes, they can be difficult to remove completely. Of course, we know doc's always have to give you the worst scenarios when talking to their patients. He cannot however say what kind of tumor until he gets in there and biopsy comes back to confirm. No matter what kind, we know she must have the surgery.
That saying this is a serious situation but I want you to know how amazed I am at Bibi and her faith and strength she is showing during this time. I saw her last night after work and talked to her tonight. Her loving family is around her, and her daughter from Vermont came in today. They are such a positive support for her always and especially now. She has her feducials on and says she Robby Robot, LOL! They are little circular markers placed on her head. I cracked up when she told me that over the phone! She's in such great spirits but somber as she tells me she is ready. She had a wonderful experience at Mass today too. I love the faith of this woman! I told her I wanted to ask everyone to pray and/or think positive thoughts for her tomorrow, to bless the surgeon and staff that are caring for her. I cannot be there but will see her either tomorrow night or Thursday.
As soon as I hear anything tomorrow, I'll try to let you know. I have to work but will try to log on through my phone. The surgery starts about 8 CST and will be 3-4 hours long. Please join me in prayers for our friend, her family and the hospital staff. I know she'll be OK but can tell you I do believe in the power of prayer. I want her to know we are desiring the best outcome for her and she is in our thoughts.
Thank you, cherries.
it's about 12:30. Just saw her daughter's post she's doing well and is out of surgery. They won't see her yet for another couple hours.
UPDATE!! Daughter reports answered prayers. "Mom is alert with no motor deficits"! She will stay in ICU tonight. Thank you everyone for support! Hoping I can set my own eyes on her soon
