Good afternoon! I am teaching crafts all this week at our church's vacation Bible school. Day two done, 3 more to go! We had close to 80 kids today, but I only did crafts with about 60, spread into 3 classes. Fun, but tiring! I make lists, and often lose them before I get everything crossed off! Then, I'll write a new one and leave stuff off of it or have so much more to add. lol. Anyway. Finishing up a late lunch then hoping to scrap a little! I used to teach crafts at our church's VBS too. I haven't done it in awhile because the heat bothers me now. For some reason they always put the crafts outside instead of inside with the ac on. It was fun though and yes it is tiring.

Outside!!?? It's usually close to 100 degrees here this time of year, so that's a no go! The first thing I do when I get there is turn the AC down or check to make sure someone else set it low!

Good morning all; I'm very sad today. I'm taking Little One into the vet for an evaluation about whether it is his time. He is showing such signs of dementia, at least I believe that is what is going on. He has trouble walking but wanders about aimlessly, steps or climbs on the other dogs (which they do NOT like) as if they were furniture, refuses his ball and toys, started going potty all over the house, doesn't interact with any of us any more, etc. I don't know what to do but I am hoping the vet has help for us. He is currently on medication for seizures and for pain in his joints, and prednisone every other day for his PLE. But the last year has really been hard on him, especially the last few months. OMG! poor little one. I hope and pray the vet can help you out. I made an appt for Saturday for Lady Lou. She's 13 1/2 years old and in the past two weeks, has lost alot of weight. She does have cataracts and has already stumbled into Jeffrey twice. She continues to eat and drink well, I have increased her food amount. She knows how to go potty outside and uses the doggie door just fine and dandy. She can still run, but she has one back leg that is a bit on the "lazy" side. She has not bumps or lumps anywhere. She barks at us when we come home after being gone all day. So other than the the weight loss, she is okay. She is also on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. So on Saturday he will evaluate her and see what's going on.

Sorry about your migraine-they are the worst! I had an early DDS appt to get a crown put on from a root canal. I'm done for the year now! My DS is out for summer and DD still has school this week so we are in a weird limbo. I have 2 manuscripts that need to be copy edited by next week and I just don't want to do any of it lol. I just want to work on challenges! Wow a root canal and then a crown. That sucks. I have so many crowns now. Good thing we have good dental insurance because those cost a lot.

Yup I think it's because one kid spilled an entire container of glitter and it never really went away. Luckily I wasn't teaching then. It was always my luck to teach during the hottest week in July. You are lucky it is early. One year I did sports camp too. I only lasted two days and my friend took over. I'm a baby when it comes to the heat. I get headaches and really dizzy. I would never make it in the south

Well, I make list but sometimes lose them! Like the grocery list...left in the car or even on the table back home! Other list I make are simply to get my mind focused on tasks needing to be done. Yes, it's nice to see those lines crossing them off. I do have a problem of making the list too long and unachievable at times...so have to redo with the leftovers. I'm not the best list maker but I try. Otherwise, I'm a here and there and "oh, what was I supposed to be doing!" kind of gal...all over the place!
Anyway, I just go home from work...now there's where I totally have to rely on lists and lines beside them to check off! Remember all your patients needs, med times, orders, etc...no, not without a list! Many of us nurses call it our "brains" and have a panic attack if we misplace our clipboards.
Well one more day of work then I'm off. I'm so glad cause I want to be able to help Bibi after her surgery as much as possible. I do have a doc appointment for myself Thurs. afternoon. UGH, lab work in the morning will tell if I've been a good enough girl with my eating lately. That and exercise and losing weight are real challenges for me.
I'm miss being with you all more, and hope to get back into the swing of things soon.

I make lists all the time... then I lose them and either wing it or go off on a tangent and get nothing real done (i.e. I scrapbook instead of doing the chores and then use the excuse that I had totally lost my list so had no clue that I needed to do anything besides the usual.) Because there are permanent lists in my home for meds, feedings, breathing treatments, appointments, activities, etc.; somedays making a chore list feels like a major endeavor. My house is kinda like Deb's that way... four generations in one house, three of which are disabled and the other teenagers. Life's too short...
