I am back...sorry I was gone for so long. My next-door neighbor passed away on Saturday evening and I was over visiting with his son and his widow.
For this challenge, I am challenging you to do something I find very difficult, but important. I challenge you to do a memorial page. It can be for a family member, friend, or even a furbaby. It just needs to memorialize the passing of someone dear to you. I struggle with this all the time, but I always feel better when I have done one. If you are lucky enough to not have lost anyone recently, it can be a memorial page for someone you lost long ago, too. There are no scrappy requirements for this one...photo, no photo, journaling, just a title, doesn't matter. Just do it!

Well I finally went through and edited the pics from my Dad's funeral (May 2011), but wasn't planning to print them out yet. Maybe I'll do one of the cats... (we lost 3 in the last 2 years!) And I'm sorry about your neighbor!

And I'm sorry about your neighbor! Thanks, Katrina. We didn't spend a lot of time with them, since they are a much older couple, but we always got along well and he was the sweetest man. While I was talking with his wife, we realized they moved in about 9 months after we did (right before our first wedding anniversary) and have been here for 23 years.

This will be easy for me. I am in the middle of scrapping my uncle's funeral/memorial service. I've never done this before, but it is coming along great - I'm really pleased with how I've done him and our family justice.

Here is mine: In Memory OfJournaling reads: Blackie was born in 1982 and she became a show dog. By 1989, she was no longer winning shows. Her owners' were going to give up on her until my Uncle George rescued her and brought her to us in 1990. By then she was already 8 years old, but she was such a happy dog. This photo was taken in November 2000. She would go to live another 2 1/2 years, passing away at the age of 21 in June 2003. She was our family's first dog, but she will never be forgotten.
