Hi all - For the first time since I joined, I made goals. I set mine at 30 pages and 5 cards. As of this morning, I have made 4 cards..... and 101 pages! I knew I was scrapping a lot but WOW! I still have another week this month, too!
I've tried something I never did before - I scrap whatever I grab. Meaning, I am jumping around from year to year (decade to decade even!), subject to subject, and I have found that I REALLY like that. I don't get tired of doing one event and then feel like it's a "chore" to finish - I take a LOT of pictures! (However, this jumping around subjects makes me create a HUGE mess because I am looking through Christmas stuff for one layout, then beach stuff for the next layout, then school stuff for the next layout, etc.)
Which brings me to my question - How do you scrap? Chronologically? By subject or event?
Thanks! Christi S

Wow!! You made 101 pages in June?? That's more than I made this year. ha!!
Lately, I've been scrapping pictures from the last two years but not in any order. I'd love to wrap up the one set of pictures I have from 2012 so I can call it done and put all the layouts away. Although, every once in a while, I'll grab an old picture(s) and scrap them. But that's mostly to meet a challenge or use a particular supply or something.

I place my layouts in my albums chronologically, but I scrap like you, jumping from year to year and subject to subject. It is much easier since I do both paper layouts and digi. However, when it comes time to arrange them in albums, it always takes me forever, because I keep having to recheck when things happened and make sure I didn't leave anything out. LOL I am currently working on putting together my 2010 album, which has a lot more digi layouts. I have found I take too many photos at events, and digi is the only way I can get many on a page, without it looking overly cropped or too crowded.

I'm like Laura...I do place my albums in chronological order, but jump from year to year and subject to subject. It all depends on the mood I"m in and what I want to scrap!

WTG Christi!! That's very impressive!! I think I would run out of photos to scrap if I did that!!

That is amazing! I too put them in books chronologically, and for the most part I scrap that way. Unless it is something huge, then I skip around, but try to incorporate the large with it. Hope that made snese, lol.

I jump around too. I like it that way. I do file chronologically though. I'm going to try to shoot for 8 layouts this month. I'm behind due to my son's prom, graduation and my daughter's semi-formal dance. Now I'm breathing again and spending more time in my scrap room.

my goal for this month is unabtainable I had set it at 30...I have done a whopping 6....this month ended up being much more busy and chaotic than I could even imagine...LOL I scrap whatever catches my fancy..........I pretty much only have photos from the last couple of years to choose from.........and mainly this year...I was current prior to that

I also place my layouts in albums chronologically...but I scrap willy-nilly . I also like to be a year or so behind overall because I like to scrap photos of the currant season- I like to scrap summer photos in summer, winter in winter, etc. But I will scrap a layout from last year and then jump to last month if the mood strikes!I try to do 12 challenges a month here at ACOT and then I have a few other challenge sites I like to follow and enter layouts/cards into.

Awesome Christi!
I was aiming for 25 pages this month and 2 cards. I have done 21 pages and 2 cards. Hopefully I will be able to get the last 4 pages done. As to how I scrap - I jump around a lot. I will do some pages for one trip or event and then scrap photos from another year the next day. I like that I don't get in a rut and I come back to an event with fresh eyes.
I keep my albums in chronological order - except for the albums for the grandkids. I took their pages out and created albums for each one - I figure they will eventually end up with them.
