At 3:21a.m. (PDT)this morning, summer officially started in the northern hemisphere. Longest day of the year is upon us and (hooray) now the days will start to shorten by 2 minutes a day.

Wow, I didn't know it was here already! June is a busy month for me, and it seems to fly right by!

I can't wait for my youngest to be out of school. I'm itching to get started on our summer. Her last day is Thursday.

Yay!! I'm also waiting for my youngest to be out of school. It's dragging on LOL! DS had his last day of classes on the 16th and then had finals this past week. My DD is out of school on Thursday too. Are you in NY, Lori?? I work at home so I still have to keep some type of routine but I am anxious to get started on days at the park and not waking up at the crack of dawn

Olivia starts Kindergarten this year, so we're still not experiencing break from the school year. At work (I work at a technical college of sorts) we're on break right now. This coming week is a "sort-of" class week, but over half our students are out. Then next week is an off week leading up to July 4th. For me, we don't usually do anything for summer except see my inlaws for a week here or there while they're on their break and they come see the kids. Otherwise, it's generally too hot for my liking and I'm always waiting for Fall. SO far we've had an amazing summer, since we have friends to hang out with and spend it with.

We had a lot of snow days.

We are a week late due to snow. I hate getting out this late especially since they do nothing the last week. They just sit in a hot room and watch movies.

It's horrible - and you're right, all the do is watch movies and kill time. They've cleaned out their cubbies already. I am a little thrown off because this is the first year my DS is in high school and I thought his last day was also the 28th but after the Regents tests, that was it. Who knew? he's been home for a few days already and I thought I had one last week left to myself to do errands, meet deadlines and scrap in peace before summer vacation chaos LOL!
