Yes, she does! Wouldn't believe this woman came through brain surgery yesterday! She was up in the chair, waved me down when I was trying to find the room in SICU and smiling so big. She has no pain that tylenol can't handle. Not even a headache. The doc got all he can see, a post surgery MRI done, looks good but she does need to have radiation and chemo (pill form) after this. She has sensation and normal movement of all extremities. She tells me, "my hand doesn't get lost!" Bless her heart, before surgery, she felt like her hand wouldn't do what she wanted it to do. She tried writing and it's still a little off but I'm hopeful she'll be back here soon with us.
Should be moving to the floor this afternoon. May be in her new room now as I speak. I left soon after her family came in. Got the sweetest pic of her dh leaning over to kiss her too! BTW, she had her camera yesterday and ds was getting pics of her nurses. ( you know she'll be scrapping these, LOL) She's quite talkative today and says she's had motor mouth since waking up from the surgery. I was just so ecstatic to see how happy she is and how well she is doing.
I told her so many cherries have responded with all their positive thoughts, prayers and well wishes. She is sincerely thankful. I plan to go back tomorrow for awhile while I can. I may not be able to leave my son over the weekend much but her daughter is in town until July 6, I believe. OH, btw, Bibi's birthday is July 5.
I might have to help her get signed in to this board. She's been posting as a guest. I'll take my laptop with me tomorrow and see if she's up to trying it out.
