Morning all. Went to bed with a headache and woke up to it. So I'm a bit slow today. I took some meds and hoping that, with coffee, will knock it out.
Anybody scrapping today? I would love to! I did get my pretty box of Basic Grey goodies and I just love everything that's in it. I need to put up the goodies before I can scrap.
How about you?

Hi Brandy, I hope you feel better soon.
I am scrapping tonight!! I want to work on the MMC challenges. I did the recipe challenge last night. If it were a real life recipe for food it would have been for gruel. LOL! Next up is the sketch challenge which I started to pull together last night. The tough one is the memorial challenge. I have to find the right picture first.
I hope everyone has a great day!

WTG on getting a jump start on those MMC challenges. I just did a memorial page of my step-son's grandfather on Saturday..lol..if I had only waited....

That's always the way, huh?
I don't know who will be the subject of my memorial page. I have to decide how hard or easy I want to be on myself with this.

Last year, I did a memorial page on my grandmother. I'm thinking this time of doing one of the pets I had growing up when I was little. I haven't scrapped Blackie yet.

Hope you feel better Brandy.
last night when I got home from work I was zapped of all energy. Made some not-so-good food choices and then just crashed for a bit. Finally got some energy back but really just vegged all night, it was nice! Might get to some scrapping this evening, not sure. Hubs will be at the men's get-together from church, so it's just me and the kids with no plans, so scrapping is a definite possibility.
I've never done a memorial page, but I actually have some pictures from when we had my dad's "memorial" when his headstone came in. It was awful how it all played out and I was not happy at all with how it was done. But I do have the pictures and it would be nice to do a memorial page. Is there anything "special" about this, that makes it different than a regular page? I don't really know what I'd put on the page other than the pictures and the date I guess. It's not a sore subject for me, other than how it all went down, but making the page and seeing the pics aren't hard for me, if that makes sense. anyways, any suggestions?

Thanks Carolyn..I'm starting to feel a bit better. I hate it when I make "not so good food choices" because it does zap all your energy and makes you all lethargic. But vegging all night is what you need to do from time to time. I've only done a few Memorial Pages. Just like any other scrappy page, there is no right or wrong way to do it. You can use just pics. Or a title and journal the whole thing. For the memorial page of my step-son's grandfather, I wasn't there, but he took a pic with his great grandma. So it just has that one picture with a line of journaling. For my grandmother's memorial page, I used the pics that were taken at the service of my family, with the program that was created. For pet memorial pages, I use various pics of them, including some things that made them unique (I had a kitty who used to love taking a bath!)

Brandy, I hope your headache is gone by now. I hate waking up with those. Carolyn, as Brandy said, do the page any way you want. I usually try to journal a special memory or something. My biggest struggle with them is not always having the photo I want, but you don't even have to have a photo is you want it all to be journaling. It is up to you. (Maybe the lack of direction is what makes it so difficult, beyond having to deal with the emotions. I still need to do a page of my dear mother-in-law and she died 10 years ago! I just want it to be perfect, you know?

Laura, that's how I feel about doing a memorial page for my father. It's been over 20 years but I still become an emotional mess thinking about him and I just don't think I can do justice to my memory of him or my feelings about his death on paper. But then, it's supposed to be a challenge. I'll do the sketch challenge first then see how it goes.

Carolyn, this will be my first memorial page too so I have nothing to offer other than I am sorry that the headstone installation went down in a bad way.
I hope you get to scrap tonight.

I will be scrapping after dinner. I want to do the MMC challenges and back to the June challenges. Hubby is out of town so I will cook something quick. My daughter just went to a friends house and my son will have his truck back so he will be out. That leaves me alone with my scrapping. I love nights like these!!

I am trying to work on a layout as my friend occupies the kids with their craft for this week. She is helping them make bead bracelets. Very sweet of her. Need to give thought to this weeks MMC challenges also. Feel better Brandy!
